Lindsay Lohan Arrested Again (2007)

Lohan's mug shot from July 2007 for driving under the influence.
Lindsay Lohan had another run in with the law (2007); she allegedly hit someone with her car while intoxicated. The law here falls under drunk driving (which is currently illegal) which is a state law, overseen by the federal system, which is backed by highway funding.
Why should Lindsay get away with multiple brushes with the law and still be allowed to roam free, while civilians elsewhere get their license pulled immediately?
Her income and name allows her to be exempt from the law and gives her the ability to not take responsibility for her actions and their repercussions. Even with her, then current, probation she is able to escape consequences and live an apparently extravagant lifestyle with minimal worries; the mugshots apparence seems to cause more problems than the actual committed crime.

It all is so sad! These media people are supposed to convey some certain image among others. What kind of image is she conveying? I am almost sure she will not have followers among "normal, stable, successfull" people ...

I think she is crazy and needs some help. One day she will realize what she is losing. It kinda funny how fame can make you or break you.

I love love love your post! I completely agree that famous people's names almost always get them out of punishment...(or in some cases extra publicity if they are arrested) but for us "regular" people we get harassed and actions taken immediately. In all fairness I think everyone in the class is a better person than Lindsay Lohan, though if we were pulled over for a DUI we would have no say in what would happen to our license or privileges. I just think the legal system should work the same for everyone, regardless of how much money you make or how famous you are. Yes, some celebs need help but that's the least of our worries. It's these corrupt cops and legal systems that screw us over. Has anyone ever seen a cop really be a "role model"? I haven't, and just because they wear a badge they can do the things we all can't because its ILLEGAL for us to do them. Anyways, I think that Lindsey should most definitely be punished as if she were a regular human being.

Thank you for sharing this, I find it rediculous that celebrities can get away with more just because their famous. If I got pulled over and got a DUI I wouldn't get any special treatment. Lindsay Lo has all kinds of problems though.
